Posted by keeptalkinggreece in Sports
The new era in the management of Olympiakos FC is a fact, after Evangelos Marinakis and Socrates Kokkalis signed the preliminary agreement for the transfer of a 67% stake.
The two men met at the offices of the FC on Wednesday for the formal completion of their agreement.
Next Monday the two men will hold a joint press conference to talk about the next day of the Olympiakos soccer future.
S. Kokkalis will remain Chairman of Olympiakos and will undertake to pay all the debts of the club.

Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis has acquired a 67 per cent stake in the Olympiakos soccer club for 50 million Euros.
Marinakis, a shipping tycoon, completed the deal with former owner Socrates Kokkalis mid June.
Kokkalis said the agreement will “greatly strengthen the club.”
Kokkalis, 71, a telecoms and gaming systems magnate, will remain club chairman. Marinakis, 42, has been involved in sports management since 2000 when he took over the Olympiakos volleyball team.
Kokkalis has owned Olympiakos since 1993. During his tenure the club won 12 Greek league titles and 5 Greek Cups.
