August Full Moon in Athens: Archaeological Sites will be Open!
Posted by keeptalkinggreece in Culture
Culture and Tradition win! All the archaeological sites will be open tomorrow so we will be able to enjoy the full moon from Acropolis, the Roman Agora, the National Archaeological Museum, even the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion.
The sites will be open from 7 in the afternoon to 1 o clock after midnight.
Archaeological sites guards agreed to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. So the payment dispute has been settled and nothing can hinder romantic souls combine nature (Full Moon) with culture (Achraeology).
The sites guards will donate their payments to a charity.
Read full story and see alternatives here . If the alternative is still to watch the full moon over the sea, then go to Athens coast, and sit at the rocks of Floisvos!
There is a list of all archaeological sites Greece-wide by Ministry for Culture unfortunately only in Greek http://www.yppo.gr/2/g22.jsp?obj_id=39787
