Alexiou – Panselinos: Best Ever Greek Song on Full Moon (VIDEO)

Posted by in Music

Panselinos  I consider to be the best ever Greek song about the Full Moon. Music composed and lyrics are written the  Goddess of Greek music scene, Haris Alexiou. There are many versions in youtube, but I like this one because it is a bit vivid for such a melancholic song. Furthermore, I have tried an English  translation from the Greek lyrics. Forgive me, if it’s not perfect. There are worse things in life…

Panselinos – Πανσέληνος

In the middle of a small house, I have rented
A baby’s laugh has been hugging me
I asked everything from my life, I payed with my soul
The heart to have a place before is old …

But it’s a full moon tonight and everything’s fine
Silence is different without company.
I do not feel sad, but I’ve been missing
The little girl you loved at random
I do not feel sad, but I’ve been missing
Your lustful lie that turned everything nice

It is hard for a woman to be lonely
I tell you now that truth does not anger
Whatever my power is, I want a man with me
Loneliness sets traps and hurts …

But a full moon tonight and it’s nice
My home deserted but we hang out.

I do not feel sad, but I’ve been missing
The little girl you loved ar random
I do not feel sad, but I’ve been missing

Your lustful lie that turned everything nice
