In a big scale operation Greek police raided four football Fan-Clubs in Athens and detained six 6 people.
According to preliminary information members of soccer fan-clubs of Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, AEK and Panionios were readying to initiate violent incidents during upcoming soccer games.
Police has found and seized several items to be used in violent acts, such as Molotov-cocktail firebombs, pistols launching flares, firecrackers and other objects.
Police Department for Prevention of Violence has raided the Fan-Clubs after tips that hooligan groups were preparing to launch attacks against rival groups.
Worth to mention that next Sunday a derby between Panathinaikos-AEK will take place, and soon after a match between Panathinaikos-Olympiakos.
