Athens famous citizen’s initiative did it again! 300 Atenistas armed with 400 huge litter bags rushed to clean one of the many dirty beaches at Athens coast: the beach between the Stadium for Peace and Friendship (SEF) and the Saronic bay sea in Faliron.
The Neo Faliro beach like many across the kilometers long at Athens/Attica coast was turned into a garbage dump: thousands of plastic bottles and bottles caps but also things like syringes, clothes and anything a human mind can imagine of and throw away or just leave behind. A big portion of the trash is , of course, been washed out by the sea.

Many bottles and big plastic items could be given for recycling.
