Actor Giorgos Fountas passed away

The Alpha male of the Greek cinema has passed away at the age of 86.

Actor  Giorgos Fountas was the perfect epidomization  of  the tough guy, kind of creep and mostly slangy yet with a weird sense for social justice. Passionate but yet unlucky! In the many roles he played he would most probably be turned down as a lover. Then he had a bad habit: He would fall in love with wrong women, mostly a prostitute, a singer, or a wealthy one. On their part  these women would fall for the real good guy, if you know what I mean…. I can hardly remember him getting married at the end of the film. Cliche?

His most famous films were Never on Sunday, Stella and Red Lights

Giorgos Fountas was married to dancer Chrysoula Zoka
