What does man need after a busy day? A tiresome day that man has spent hunched over dusty files, endless euro-figures and hopeless budget deficits? First of all, man needs to straighten his spine. And second, man needs a drink …or two..
The camera of Greek STAR TV captured the IMF task force while Clubbing in Athens. A very late happy-hour ride in one of the chic clubs for the hype celebs of the Greek capital.
And there – under the cooper metallic roof, the midnight black floor and the passion pink lights of the famous club - the miracle happened!
The hit-squad of IMF, the stiff guys that invade ministries, kick up civil servants, raid collective bargainings, hack pensions, axe wages and stick down enterprises, were mutated into relaxed and talkative boys. OK, OK, some remained tart and distanced but the bright truth came out.
A sleepy glance here, a long sip there, tongues started to roll until they got knotted in the ultimate poor prognosis about how dramatic life will be in Greece for the next years.
Sober finance chitchat under romantic baccarat roses.
“It’s going to be tough” said one of the IMF-frontmen warning at the same time that ”people will save, the next four years will be hell and there will be demonstrations.”
Two IMF boys promised to help us. While a third one seemed to have been beamed through the Earth to reach Athens (or something like that)

Wise warning and sincere concessions
While teaching “Democracy” they failed to answer the question as to why employees and pensioners have to pay their taxes regularly while the rest makes ‘arrengements’ with the Finance Ministry.
The IMF boys – stingy as they should be - didn’t spend much for clubbing, but they “had good time” and fun! We, too! We, too!
Where exactly is the next IMF meeting?
