Athens: Shops and Public Transport, Dec 24

Are you up for a last minute shopping on the Christmas Eve? In Athens and major Greek cities shops will be open until 6 p.m., super markets – and apparently big shops -until 8 p.m.
Buses will not operate 12 at noon until 4 p.m. How could it be different? There are no strikes for December 25 and 26, 2010. As for next week… who knows?
