Writing my New Year’s Resolutions… in Pictures

 I never write down resolutions for the New Year. That I do for one simple reason. I misplace the piece of paper and never find it again. I don’t even make a list in my head, because it is normally “quick thought and quick forgotten”. Of course, above all these tricks lies my slightly aversion against these kinds of enforced commitments. Be good, Do this, Omit that. All these Do’s and Dont’s would spoil my next 365 days, I believe.

This year though, just 3 days and a couple of hours before 2010 goes and 2011 arise, I decided to write down some things…. errrr… “resolutions” I mean, “commitments”.

I started my list with modest seven commitments …

 

… and quickly summed them up to ten.

          

While I was reviewing my list, I thought that some commitments were either not realistic or too vague.

So I corrected them!

I underlined things that had priority in comparison to others

While I was performing the corrections, I saw my list had turned into a mess of blank ink.

So I came up with an eleventh commitment!

I have decided to stick to that one! It’s easy to keep it in mind,

in case I misplace the paper.

That will be my only resolution for the next 12 months of  2011! 

 

I might finally be able to read my hand written notes that are mostly in a real mess – then I tend to write new words & sentences above, under, around and between the lines of  already written stuff…
