Greek teen animal abuser- Animal lover’s success

Another success for animal lovers in Greece and else where, as their complains led to the capture of a Greek teenager animal abuser.
The 17 years old boy, a high school student, was located in Trikala, Central Greece, after Greek police Cyber Crime Units managed to electronically identify him.
The identification was achieved in cooperation of Hellenic Police with International Cyber Crime Authorities that had contacted the server the boy was using.
The boy used to abuse animals and upload videos and pictures on Facebook and even describe and comment on how he executed his heinous activities.
This had caused an outrage among Facebook animal lovers who together with Greek and international animal welfare organisations ‘bombarded’ the Greek Police with e-mails complaining about the issue and demanding the student’s prosecution and punishment.
Oddly enough there were no actions taken by the school against the boy, although the sick youth was uploading videos on the school’s page on Facebook as well.
During a raid at his home, police confiscated a computer hard disk that had recorded all the videos and pictures of the pets that had experiences unbelievable suffering in the hands of the sick young man..
A file has been created against the youth and is expected to be sent to the First Instance Court in Athens.
This is at least the second case of animal abuse in Greece where the culprits are caught after animal lovers express outrage and mobilize via social media.
