Egyptians protest Mubarak in Athens

Some hundreds Egyptians protested outside the embassy of Egypt in Athens earlier this evening. The protesters holding placards and joined by Greek solidarity groups shouted slogans against Mubarak’s regime and expressed solidarity with the people flooding the streets of Cairo.
“No matter what Mubarak promises it’s too late for him. People are not afraid of him and they won’t step back. It’s a matter of time when the regime collapses” said the president of the Muslim Union in Greece.
Demonstrators, among them women and children, were singing and waving Egyptian and Greek flags .
“This regime has brought worldwide shame on us ” said one protester.
It was the second solidarity protest of Egyptian residents of Athens within a couple of days.
