Folks, we are broken! I mean, we know that. It seems we spent our last euro on Christmas. For Valentine’s Day there is hardly a euro cent in our pockets. And this is almost official, according to a poll.
The survey condected by MRB for Cosmo.gr among 2,300 Greeks showed that:
19% will spend Zero Euro for Valentine’s Day gifts
41% will spend up to € 51
28% is willing to spend more than € 50
Men will spend in the average € 25 more than women.
37% declares he/she doesn’t feel like celebrating the Feast of Love
17% says it will celebrate like there is no economic crisis
6% says it will celebrate more than ever to challenge the IMF/EU/ECB guys.
In short 39% declare they will buy something symbolical for his/her partner and 36% they will buy nothing at all. Only 5% declare they will buy something expensive to impress the other half.
Oh, my! We always knew that only 5% of Greece’s population has all the money! *sigh*
