Athens: Protesters steal Police Officer’s Gun

A group of protesters attacked two plainclothes policemen in Athens downtown, beat them and nabbed the gun of one of them. The incident happened at 6 pm, when the plainclothes policemen were pre-screening people who were to attend the rally to protest police violence at Wednesday’s protest rally where a man was seriously injured by police and another had to undergone spleen removal due to injuries.
The unknown men attacked the two policemen at Akadimias street in Athens downtown, grabbed the gun of one of them and fled. The gun was later found in a garbage bin.
