Tax inspectors detained for attempted blackmail and corruption

You could call them the ‘rosebuds’ of the Financial Crime Combat Units (SDOE). Three men aged 48, 48 and 45 years old detained and accused of blackmail attempt of a businessman and passive corruption.  The three men were detained on Monday after an onwer of a petrol station informed the authorities that they had asked 1,000 euro in order to ‘delete’ some minor tax irregularities.

Particularly important is that during the detention one of the tax inspectors was carrying … a gun with bullets. And € 9,160. Research in his home showed that the man had € 85,570 and a luxury car.

The three men had inspected the businessman ten days ago and demanded the money. The businessman informed the Ministry of Interior, the ministry ‘marked’ the bank notes to be given and the rosebuds were caught with the prepared money in their possession.
