Athens: Newly Weds Join Austerity Protests

Austerity here, protests there life goes on, and so a young couple joined the austerity protests in front of the Greek Parliament. The beautiful bride was wearing her wedding dress, he his black tuxedo. Probably they had still rice grains on their festive clothes as they seemed to have rushed to Syntagma Square directly after the ceremony in the church. According to a Greek newspaper, the groom is Greek, the bride is German and they were on their way to Grande Bretagne Hotel when they decided to walk through the protesters’ crowd. They even signed against the IMF-Memorandum of Understanding!

They exchanged a hot kiss with Parliament building on the background.

They walked a bit around and held a banner reading “Referendum Now!” More details about what the newly weds demanded were just … unreadable!

Good to see that not all are depressed and there are still people starting a new life
