Athens: Crowds protest at Syntagma Sq despite Rain (video May 25-26)

Crowds of protesters are gathering slowly for third day in a row in front of the Greek Parliament despite the rain. Armed with umbrellas and empty pots young and old frustrated and indignant Greeks came to Syntagma Square to chant “Thieves! Thieves!”.
Inspired by the indignant Spaniards of Puerta del Sol, Greeks are adamant to keep up the protests until something will change in the country. Alhtough there are no organizers committee and the movement is free from political parties or labor unions, if you ask the protesters they have some answers in common.
“Thanks the youth who gave me the pleasure to be with them in a peaceful meeting”
“I want them to bring back the stolen money” says Maria, 28, saleswoman, who joins the protests after the shop is closed.
“I am here for my children and grandchildren” says Aggelos, 68, pensioner. “My son is jobless, my pension is nothing after the cuts.”
“Those who brought the debt over the country should pay” says Kostas, 35, jobless since 5 months.
“I’ve been wondering why I’ve studied for, why I got my master and postmaster” says Alexia, 26, who studied economics but hasn’t got a single hiring so far.
“It’s all among them, they share between them, for us poor people there is nothing!” says Eleni, 48, jobless.
Many protesters say, they’ve turned their back to politics and mass media. They want changes! But what changes exactly? The movement tries to manifestate the protesters’ demands through open meetings.
Many hope, that something will come out!
