Public transport in Athens will participate only partially to the general strike on October 19-20, 2011 in order to facilitate demonstrators participate in the protests. the following work stoppage schedule has been released by the several public transport sectors:
METRO will operate as normally after 9 am. No metro up/from the Athens airport.
Urban Train HSAP will operate 10 am – 6 pm.
TRAM will operate 8 am – 8 pm on Wednesday and 8 am till night on Thursday.
TROLLEY will operate 9 am – 9 pm on both days.
BUSES will operate 9 am – 9 pm.
Taxis will be on 24h strike on Oct 19.
