Greece: Ready for the Cold Weather Front with Rain and Snow? Nov 11-14

Have you noticed already, a kind of icy cold air coming through? Of course, you haven’t. Because in contrast to me you have balcony doors closed lol Being kind of …suspicious about news claiming a bad weather front coming to Greece, I asked a meteorologist friend this morning, whether I should lay the carpets. Her answer was very clear: “Do it! Do it!”. Because, temperatures will drop, strong winds will blow, rain will pour and even snow will fall over the weekend across the country.
The main features of this bad weather front are:
• The sharp drop of temperatures at around 10 degrees Celsius, until Monday 14/11
• Very stormy winds in the Aegean Sea, reaching 9 or even 10 Beaufort. The strong winds with 9 B intensity will blow also in Attica area and are expected to make things extremely difficult for the Athens Marathon runners (Sunday, No 13th)
• Rain will pour locally in eastern and southern areas of Greece.
• Snow will fall in mountainous and hilly parts of the country.
You still have time to get your supplies: wood for the fire place, sweet tea, fluffy cakes and hot soups
PS As I usuallys lay the carpets shorty before Christmas… I have a strong desire for a … Xmas tree

A bit of cold at last to kill the flies and mosquitoes which are still driving us mad down here.
I must admit I was podering Christmas decorations yesterday, I think I might need more lights
yeah, cold makes the Xmas difference lol – I had also some huge flies around here lol
I heard on the weather news, Athens was going to be colder than London! Amazing!
I live in Catalunya, and so far it hasn´t been cold, so I´m happy.
