Athens Public Transport mean will launch work stoppages on Tuesday, January 17/2012, exept the Athens Metro that will launch a 24-hour strike. Blue Buses, Trolley, Tram, Urban Train HSAP and Proastiakos-Trains will operate during the following hours:
Buses will operate only between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Urban Train HSAP will operate from 9 am to 9 pm.
Trolley will operate from 7 am to 10 pm
Tram will operate from 9 am to 10 pm
Proastiakos will operate from from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Train-OSE trains will also have a work stoppage and will not operate between 10 am and 1 pm.
On January 17/2012 the union of private sector GSEE has called for a 24-hour strike in the prefecture of Attica.
Public hospitals doctors will also be on 24-hour strike.
Journalists in public and private media will launch a 48-hour strike on Jan 17/18 2012.
Greece’s public sector opposes changes in collective bargains that will cause additional wages cuts up to 15% and cancellation of the 13th and 14th salary.
