A fragile Greek granny appeared fearless in front of riot police in Ierissos Gold mining. During the protest on Thursday, the granny hoarsely sang a wartime revolutionary song and goaded riot police squads to come over.
“Bullets and cannons do not scare us…” the granny sung under the surgery mask she wore to protect herself from inhaling tear gas. “Come over, come over,” she shouted to riot police squads, “I will show you, me from the 40′s [ WWII] generation…. You have no mothers? Do you?”
If she is not a symbol for Greek Women’s Day, I wouldn’t know who could be…
