Weather Greece: Temperature up to 26°-27° Celsius over the weekend

Spring time. March. Exceptional temperatures up to 26 and 27 degrees Celsius. In the sun or in the shadow it doesn’t matter. Just like in June! The weather forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday is very promising.

Fair weather until you can take no more…

Very few clouds locally. But also Sahara dust from Africa, mainly in the Aegean Sea.

Temperature in North Greece will range from 5 to 22 degrees, in Central Greece from 6 to 23 degrees, in Western and Southern Greece from 5 to 22, rest of mainland from 6 to 24 degrees, and the islands in the Aegean Sea from 8 to 21 degrees Celsius .


Winds in the Aegean Sea will blow North-East with moderate to strong intensity of 5 to 6 Beaufort, locally up to 7 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, West, North-West winds will blow weak to moderate intensity.

In Attica: few clouds, North wind 4 to 5  Beaufort. up to 6-7 B in South Euboea Gulf. Temperature in downtown Athens will range from 15 to 23 degrees Celsius (Friday) and 24 degrees on Saturday. In south suburbs, temperature will be 1 to 2 degrees higher.

Thessaloniki: few clouds, possible fog in the morning and the evening, South winds. Temperature in downtown Thessaloniki up to 24 degrees.

Crete: temperature a little lower in the north of the island.

Temperatures will remain high until Sunday, March 26th 2017, but will drop as of Monday. A few rain falls are expected next week.

Remember: the highest temperature is at 2 p.m. local time. As of Sunday, at 3 p.m. as Greece will go into summer day light saving in the night form Saturday to Sunday.
