Armed with sledgehammers, a group of anarchists from Ruvikonas attacked the offices of Turkish Airlines on Poseidonos Avenue in Alimos suburb of south Athens on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the attack took place at 6:30 in the morning.
The group went to the 3rd floor of the building where the Turkish Airlines office are.
The anarchists initially attempted to force its way into the office but only damaged the glass door after failing to do so.
Nobody was inside the office at the time of the attack, which occurred outside of office working hours.
Greek police have been conducting investigations around the scene, no one was detained.
The anarchist group later claimed responsibility for the attack. It a statement, Ruvikonas said the raid was a protest “against Erdogan’s regime and the massive purge since the attempted coup” of 2016.
According to information of ANT1 TV, the attack group consisted of 15 people. ANT1 displays also the video of the attack as uploaded by the anarchists.

Ruvikonas had previously conducted a paint attack targeting the Turkish embassy in the Greek capital.
