Athens Airport – Port of Piraeus direct train service started on Feb 1st

The direct transport from the port of Piraeus to Athens airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” is a fact. The first Proastiakos train left the Piraeus terminal on Thursday morning, February 1st 2018.

The transport lasts 63 minutes. The ticket price is at 10 euros for one way journey.

The direct line is a relief for thousands of people who either arrive from the island or want to reach the airport without having to change transport means.

The trains leave every hour.

For early flights, the first train leaves Piraeus at 4:44 .am. but the last one at 08:44 p.m.

First train to leave the airport is at 5:52 a.m., last one at 10:50 p.m.

  1. Great news for the people arriving from or going to Piraeus but the downturn is that the perfect direct train connection from Kiato to the airport
    has been cut and passengers have change trains at the tiny station if Kato Acharnai. Last Thursday I took the 21:09 from the airport to Korinthos. However stranded at Kato Acharnai as there was no connecting train to Kiato. Waited for the next and last one 22:44 also this train did not arrive. Finally had to arrange alternative transport.
    Proastikaos please re-install the direct connection Kiato to Airport v.v. as quickly a possible as you may loose customers on this line this way
