“frozen Spicy Meatballs”. Tfoe! (like they say in Marocco) Who buys that?!
Buy some fresh minced meat. No, not 2 kilo. Just a bit. Put in a some mint from the garden, nip ouzo, some bread, salt, pepper, olive oil. Mix. Make balls. Throw them in some oil and bake them. Bet they are a heap cheaper and tasting 100% better.
But thanks for the warning anyhow. It was busy at the Lidl just now. 😉
if you have big family and less money, frozen ‘things’ fill the stomach – you have not time for gourmet experiments. so simple.
When I look at the prices of that frozen meat and what a few hundred grams of fresh minced meat is costing. Plus the almost non-cost of the ingredients (leftover bread, some herbs from the garden, a nip of ouzo) you have to say that it is not gourmet experiment, but plane and simple Greek home cooking. Might be that you don’t have the time. But it sure is much cheaper than that other stuff.
5 euro for 1/5 kg fresh minced meat? you get 1 kg frozen for the same price. I ve seen in some countries people feeding their children with bread soaked in tomato sauce from the can day in day out. In the rare occasions rice was added it was feast for them. I hope we won’t see such conditions here too.
ECB.coli latest.
Hospital staff blamed for the outbreak. The government still confident in leeching. “Its our patriotic duty to wear them” said the PM.
