OMG! A broke Greek who can’t afford to keep a car? The picture of a car loaded in a rubble bin went around as a news item about “a eco-killer car owner” and made many wonder: How did he do it??? Now the secret is revealed. A construction/rubble group with environmental sensitivities , the group GRI (grey) from Thessaloniki did it! And thus with a hoisting machine.
With a series of truly unique and original ideas the group tries to raise eco-awareness among the residents of Greece’s second big city Thessaloniki. Awarenss about traffic problems, environment degradation and atmospheric pollution.
The car in bin was the group’s first project, followed by a boat, some multi-coloured balloons and even two multi storey buildings….
According to Gri’s website, the Street Art projects will continue and bring some colour, fantacy impulse and eco-awareness in the city.
We need such projects in Athens downtown as well, guys!
