Another day with tension between protesters and riot police occurred workers and employees at the municipalities demonstrated in Athens downtown. In fact it was a rather small group of less than 1,000 people moving from one city’s point to the next and then back again fooling the police. At the end they managed to enter the yard of the Greek Parliament, a fact that triggered the reaction of the riot police. They withdrew to the Monument of the Unknown Soldier for a sit-in protest and they started singing the children’s song “Ah, little bunny”. For some unclear reason, the chairman of the labor union got injured and was taken to the hospital.
Earlier, the protesters booed a former general secretary of Finance Ministry who was enjoying a coffee at the noble Kolonaki district of Athens.
