Athens Public transport Workers decided to stage a 24-hour strike on Monday, October 10th 2011. There will be no buses, no tram, no urban train HSAP , no metro. It’s still open whether train and Proastiakos workers will join the mobilization. PT workers oppose salary cuts and ‘labour reserve’. Bus workers evne threaten to go on permanent strike, should even one worker be on the labour reserve lists.
I can still recall army trucks transporting passengers, it must have been in the late 70’s
