Public sector union ADEDY and municipality workers union POE-OTA will launch work stoppages today, Friday, November 30th 2012. ADEDY’s action will start at 11:30 a.m. and a protest will be launched at 12:30 at Klafthmonos Square in downtown Athens and Venizelos Statue in Thessaloniki.
POE-OTA will stage two work stoppages, one 11:00 am – 03:00 pm for the morning shift and one 03:00 – 07:00 p.m. for the afternoon shift Munucipality workers will hold a protest at 11:30 a.m. at Karaiskaki Square in Athens.
The unions protest the measure of ‘labour reserve’ and the “lay-offs policies of the government that dissolve the public services”.
