Athens has seen a barrage of fire bomb attacks against branches of PM Samaras’ party Nea Dimocratia and banks ATM. The attacks occurred after police operations against squats in the Greek capital. Two ‘unsigned’ statements uploaded on internet claimed responsibility to the attacks included the one against the brother of government spokesman. The unknown composers of the statements claimed they launched the attacks as reaction to police operations against the squats.
In another incident, unknown assailants fired shots at Nea Dimocratia headquarters but no organization claimed responsibility so far.
To be continued…
The hand grenade on the pavement at lunchtime….this is so absurd it could be true….but it smells to me more like a plant. And in Gazi! Why on earth Gazi, destination of (mostly) gays & teenagers?
I am afraid that, if it IS a deliberate act, you provided a well possible motif… 🙁
But seeing where it was it is more likely that there are some scores to settle in the nightclub world… Like everywhere in the world.
