Greek police arrested the head of the 2. police station of Egaleo suburb of Piraeus after a foreign shop owner filed a complained. The police director was allegedly blackmailing foreign shop owners from Pakistan and Bangladesh, threatening them with infringed law violations, if they would not give him money.
In this particular case that led to his arrest, the police director had asked 1,000 euro from a Pakistani shop owner. He first received 300 euro and when he return for the rest of the sum, he was arrested.
Together with him were put in handcuffs a retired policeman and a foreigner whose duty was to find potential targets. (in.gr)
Good that they arrested him. Now let’s see if he will be sentenced to a substantial punishment or not…
