The thriller of Albanian convict Alket Rizai continues also on Sunday morning. The nototrious criminal is holding six prison guards as hostages in Malandrino jail, in Central Greece.

Greek media report that Rizai is armed with “what is seems to be a hand grenade” and that he threatens to trigger an explosion, if he would not get a vehicle to escape.

It is not clear how he managed to escape the guards’ attention and stage a prison break attempt, neither if he plans to leave together with some inmates.

According to latest information, a prosecutor and police offiers are in negotiations with the convict.

Alket Rizai, an Albanian national, was an associate of notorious fugitive and notorious criminal Vassilis Palaiocostas with whom he escaped from prison in 2006. He was later caught but escape again from prison in 2009.
