German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble expressed the wish to visit Athens. The wish was expressed during a phone conversation with his Greek counterpart Yiannis Stournaras on Monday. Greek media report that the German FinMin also told Stournaras that Greece has to continue with the reforms.
Shcaueble said that Athens has already doen a lot, but that the the path is difficult and it has to be continued.
Apparently Stournaras invited Schaeuble to Athens and he accepted.
The date of Schaeuble’s visit is not known yet.
PS OK, with a new government or a radical government reshuffle, Schaeuble’s visit will have some delay. With snap elections the visit might be postponed – indefinitely.
