A mouthwatering menu with first class products in order to honor the EU dignitaries: French risotto, sea beam with vegetables, chocolate secrets, pasteli and frozen yogurt, enjoyed in the company of red and white wines. The exquisite menu was bearing the signature of French executive chef Dominique Perrot, once chef by French president Francois Mitterrand.
With sea beam sold at 30 euro per kilo… that was a not so much austerity menu offered to Barroso, vanRumpuy and the EU commissioners.
In contrast, journalists covering the opening ceremony of the Greek EU Presidency had to satisfy their hunger with sandwiches, STAR TV reported.
