A pilot program will be applied to thirty-three Greek museums and archaeological sites that will stay open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the period 1. April – 31. October 2014, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras announced on Tuesday.
“This initiate refers to the 33 biggest museums of our country that collect 95% of visitors and revenues,” Samaras told reporters and added that Greek jobless with active unemployment card will be able to visit the museums free of charge.
So far no details on which museums and archeological sites exactly will be put on the list with the extended visiting times.
