What Merkel didn’t see in Athens…

German Chancellor had certainly a very heavy schedule today in Athens. She rushed from entrepreneurs’ forum to businessmen’ meeting, from tet-a-tet meeting with Greek Prime Minister to a joint press conference in front of Greek and international media. Her visit to Acropolis was kind of spoiled due to the rain pouring down in otherwise sunny Athens in April.

Dog protester: “No even a bone available!”

Distances of more than twenty steps Angela Merkel covered in black limousine escorted by security vehicles and 6,000 policemen safeguarding the earth she touched with her feet or the limo wheels.

The German Chancellor was surrounding by men and women in smart business look in  all shades of grey.

As every average  – and especially protesting – Greek was banned outside a range of five kilometers around the German Chancellor,  I upload some pictures here, some pictures of real Greeks and real Greek problems.

Of course, I could upload pictures of people waiting in queues for charity meals, people in hospitals, elderly living without electricity and other cute moments of the every day Greek life in Athens, but I don’t want to spoil the fun of a Chancellor’ visit, neither prevent Angela Merkel to return to Berlin with a bunch of nice memories from Athens.

Greeks are kind and generous, after all 🙂
