President Hollande grants the Greeks right to vote

I am so relief. Honestly. And I am so impressed by the divine generosity of a French president granting me the right to vote and decide about my own destiny.  Joining the Club of Scaremongers Society, French President Francois Hollande said Monday that “The Greeks are free to choose their own destiny.”

So nice and simple? Of course not. In the same breath Hollande added that Greece has to stick to its European commitments.

“The Greeks are free to choose their own destiny. But, having said that, there are certain engagements that have been made and all those must be of course respected,” Hollande said, according to AFP.

The president also noted that it is up to Greece to decide on its further stay in the eurozone.

Ps I’m afraid the intervention frenzy from the side of our European friends and supporters will continue until the ballot boxes are closed in the afternoon of 25. January 2015.

France, the country that agreed earlier among many other EU-countries to cut the excessive budget deficit. France is the country, which DID NOT honour this agreement. Not when they were granted (twice) a little leeway, but not even then when the European Commission told that “enough is enough”.

So, in my view, France is not a country to start lecturing about commitments to agreed deals. The Prime Minister of France, Manuel Valls, told everyone else that “France is a big country and she needs to be respected”.
