A blck out occurred on the island group of Cyclades in the central Aegean Sea leaving thousands of people in Paros, Naxos, Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros and other islands without electricity.
According to Greek Public Power Company (DEH), a short circuit in the transformer of the power plant on the island of Paros is to blame for the outage that occurred at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Greek PPC asks for the residents’ understanding.
It assured that staff is working to repair the damage and that the power will be restored within the next few hours.
The PPC statement was issued at around 4 0′ clock in the afternoon, January 18th 2017.
