A Finnish tourist has died after falling into a 2-meter deep private ditch on the side of a road in Platanias holiday village in Chania, Western Crete.
The man was found by passersby on Friday morning.
Firemen and rescuers recover the body of the man whose age was reported between 65 and 75 years old.
According to local media, the deadly fall is suspected to have happened later than Thursday.
The uncovered ditch was part of a private building near a restaurant and a kindergarten.
The body was taken to the city morgue, an autopsy will identify the causes of the man’s death. (zarpanews.gr)
