Trains, Proastiakos and metro to the Athens airport will operate as usual on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 30-31 2017, but there will be a 24-hour strike on Thursday, June 1st. Trains workers have reportedly cancelled their work stoppages originally planned for the last two days of May.
Last week, the management of Greek railway company TRAINOSE had decided to cancel all train and Proastiakos operations on May 30-June 1 saying that the two work stoppages on Tuesday and Wednesday and the 24-hour strike on Thursday would cause confusion among the passengers.
It was the first time, a Greek company replied with a counter-strike, a lockout.
It is possible that there will be disturbances in the Metro operation to and from Athens Airport Eleftherios Venizelos on June 1st as after <Doukissis Plakentias> station the network is operated by Proastiakos.
PS better check right at the spot, because some Greek media circulate confusing information about the issue.
