A 35-year-old Greek has been hospitalized after suffering injuries during the terror attacks at London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday night. His condition is described as stable and there is no danger for his life. However, he is in intensive care apparently for precautionary reasons. British authorities informed the Greek embassy in London after following the man’s request.
Greek diplomatic authorities have got in contact with the injured man.
The man is a permanent resident in the British capital since 2011.
According to Greek Embassy spokesman Monday morning, the man was stabbed in the liver, and has injuries also in the head. He has underwent surgery.
The exact circumstances of his injury are not known. It is not clear whether he was injured when the white van drove into pedestrians on London Bridge or during the attacks in pubs and restaurants of the Borough Market, where the three terrorists stabbed several people.
It is also unclear whether it is the same man who was heard speaking Greek on a video footage taken in a pub in Borough Market short after the attackers had stabbed several people.
