Greece’ National Meteorology Service EMY warns of one more bad weather front with strong rainfalls, thunder- and hail-storms and gusty winds.
The weather deterioration is expected to set in in the West and the North of the country and expand to the islands of the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and Crete.
The intense weather phenomena are expected to start on Saturday morning, Oct 28 2017, and initially affect the northern Ionian Sea, Epirus and Western Macedonia
By Saturday evening, the bad weather front will affect: Central Macedonia, mainly Halkidiki, Thessaly, the Sporades islands, Western Sterea and Peloponnese, mainly its North.
Saturday noon, the intense weather phenomena will have reached Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the Northern Aegean Sea, the rest of Sterea, the Cyclades and the Dodecanese islands and possibly also Crete.

According to EMY weather forecast, on Sunday the strong weather phenomena will be confined to the Dodecanese and probably Crete.

According to meteorologists, the bad weather will strike a certain area but then quickly move forwards.
Temperatures are expected to drop.
The West of Crete became the target of strong rainfalls on Thursday, especially the Prefecture of Chania with unprecedented floods and landslides.
