Ferries and ships to remain docked as seamen join 24h general strike

Ships and ferries will remain docked on Thursday, December 14th 2017, after the Greek Seamen Federation declared that they will join the 24-hour general strike to be launched by private sector union GSEE and public sector union ADEDY.

The Seamens’ strike will start at 1:00 a.m. Thursday and will conclude at midnight.

Federation PNO said in a statement that the problems face by the seamen sector are getting worse due to the new regulations and cutbacks imposed after the third bailout agreement.
