Company of Mitsotakis’ wife becomes target of explosive device

An explosive device went off at the entrance of a company belonging to Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, the wife of the leader of conservative New Democracy in the early morning hours of Monday. The device consisted of three small gas canisters and exploded in Taki Street in Psyri area in downtown Athens at 2:40 a.m.

“>The explosion caused minimal damage.

“>No arrests have been made, Greek police investigates the issue.

“>ND leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaks of “merciless targeting of his wife from the “basements of Maximos” – the prime minister’s office – and “their mouthpieces, who of course aim to hurt me. We are not afraid of them and they will not prevail.”

The first reaction to Mitsotakis’ allegations came from SYRIZA MEP, Dimitris Papadimoulis, who tweeted that the absolute condemning the attack was the obvious, noting that Mitsotakis attempt to incriminate SYRIZA was “unfair and dangerous.”

The device exploded at the entrance of the offices of Womenswear ZEUS+DIONE.
