For six hours workers at Blue buses in Athens will refrain from work. They launch a work stoppage in order to join the general assembly of their union. The work stoppage is scheduled
from 11:00 a.m. until 05:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20th 2018
Buses will withdraw already an hour earlier , at 10 am, and return to scheduled operation an hour later, that is at 6 p.m.
This means practically that many thousands of Athenians will not be able to move around or even reach the city center -unless they have their own car or money for taxi, for the simple reason: union meeting!
11 Days without Tram
As of the end of the week, Athenians will have more trouble as two out of the three Tram lines will be halted for construction[?] “works.”
From Saturday, 24. February until Tuesday, 6. March 2018, there will be no Tram between <Syntagma> and <Mouson> in Palaio Faliro. There will only be a connection from <Mouson> to Metro Line <Neos Kosmos> via the special bus X6.
Already before since December, the Tram does not reach<Syntagma> but just ,Leoforos Vouliagmenis> – three tram stations previous also due to construction works. The works are expected to conclude on March 10th.
Nice trouble for thousands of commuters and tourists.
