Greek Seamen Federation extends 24h strike for one more day

Greece’s Seamen Federation has extended strike for one more day, PNO said in a statement Wednesday noon on the day ferries and ships remain docked originally for just 24 hours hours. Associations of workers at tug boats and salvage ships (PEPN) will joint the strike on Thursday, 19. April 2018.

The PNO demands the abolition of legislation concerning “special compositions of crew” on the sea-lines between Partas and Italy and it reacts to legislation allowing transfers between ports in Greece by ships with third countries flags.

if you plan to travel the sea way, better, check with local port authorities and travel agents.
