At least six people died and ten were injured when a car carrying migrants crashed in Egnatia highway around 9 o’ clock on Friday morning. The vehicle left the road, ‘flew’ over the barriers and crashed on the rocks. Among the dead are three children, some of the injured are in serious condition.

Fire brigades rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the people trapped in a formless mass.
The reason for the accident is not known yet, traffic police suggests high speed.
The accident occurred on the lane to Kavala, near Karvali in Northern Greece.
According to local media, the van was carrying 16 to 17 migrants, reportedly Iranian nationals.
Among the dead are three children and the human smuggler, state broadcaster ERT reported.
In the last few months, more and more migrants have been entering Greece from Evros river, the natural border with Turkey.
