Weather Warning: Rain- and Thunderstorms, hail, strong wind June 23-27

Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY issued a weather warning with heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms, locally with hail falls and gale wind. EMY’s weather forecast is valid from Saturday, June 22, until Tusedua, June 26th 2018. Although thunderstorms will continue in some regions also until Thursday, June 28.

as of noon and afternoon: Epirus, West and East Macedonia and Thrace

as of noon Central Macedonia and from evening: East Thessaly, Sporades islands and North Euboea (Evia)

Morning: Halkidiki, East Thessaly, Sporades islands and North Evia

Afternoon: mainland regions – except Thrace and East Macedonia

Monday, June 25

Ionian islands, Epirus, West and Central Sterea, Peloponnese

Tuesday, June 26

Ionian islands, mainland regions, islands of the North and East Aegean Sea.

Wednesday, June 27

Wind  between 6 – 7 Beaufort initially between Peloponnese and Crete, later in larger parts of the Aegean and west Ionian Sea.
