The Greek Navy released a video footage showing the rescue of a Danish tourist who had jumped into the sea to escape the rushing flames in East Attica.

The Danish tourist was rescued by frigate ELLI of the Greek Navy that was deployed in the area to assist with sea rescues and patrol on late Monday afternoon.

A frigate boat approached the tourist and brought him back to safety.

The rescue was conducted in cooperation between the crew of frigate ELLI and the helicopter of the Greek Navy S-70B Aegean Hawk.

Earlier, a 13-year-old boy from Belgium was rescued from the sea, ERT reported.
