Marches for animal rights are been organized every year in many cities across the globe. This year’s march in Athens is scheduled on October 6th 2018.
Below is a press release and a video we received by the organizers, the Ethos & Empathy organization:
For the last couple of years, animal rights marches have been taking place all over the world: From London and many United States such as NY, LA and Miami to…Moldova, Romania and even Taiwan. And of course the greatest ever happened in history (almost 25k people gathered) in Israel.
These marches usually take place in the beginning of September but this year in England it will take place the 25th of August.
As in Greece people are on holidays these months and it’s too hot at that time of the year, we decided to organize the first official animal rights march in Greece, in the frame of these marches, for the Saturday 6th of October 2018, combining it with the next Vegan Life Festival which takes place in Athens on Sunday 7/10/2018.
Thus, we are inviting you to come from whichever place of the country you live in, this weekend, in order to give ALL together strong message to Greek people. It’s time to show that we are no longer a tiny minority but a minority which keeps growing!
We are kindly asking you to leave back your personal differences with other vegan activists, leave back your differences on political beliefs and come to march altogether, for some hours, in the center of Athens, for the sake of the animals.
Please, open your houses to other vegan friends of yours who live outside of Athens so they can afford to attend the march without having to pay for their staying as well.
Let’s show to the world that in Greece too, we are fighting with every possible way for the TOTAL ANIMAL LIBERATION, despite the financial and the refugee crisis that our country is going through.
TIME & MEETING POINT: Ermou 134, Thisio @ noon (12.00)
