Thousand of doradoes have been set free to swim in fish eternity… if only it wasn’t the locals of Evia who rushed to catch the fresh fish. Medicane Zorbas destroyed fish farms in the sea area of Evia and set free more than 150,000 fish.
While there is no scientific proof about the doredoes’ IQ certain is that the fish came dangerously close to the beach area between Glyfa anf Agiokampos in the channel between the island of Evia and the mainland.
Locals rushed to the beach and the swallow waters and caught as many fresh fish they could.
The amateur fishermen used the necessary tools and baits and the fish that is not used to swim free ‘thought’ it was fed, local website lamiareport notes.
The breams bite the bait and landed in buckets, bags and basins.
From there, the way to the pan or the grill was not far away.
The Mediterranean Cyclone, Medicane Zorbas, has reportedly damaged fish farms and set estimated 150,000 fish free.
